Subscribers Group Guitar Lessons

I've been running a subscribers only group guitar lesson for a couple of months now. I'm really enjoying it! So far we have looked at Martin Carthy's arrangement of "The Trees They Do Grow High", Blind Boy Fullers "Weeping Willow" and we've just started looking at strumming techniques and briefly looked at Joni Mitchell's "Both Sides Now".

I've currently got 10 in that class and I'm looking to get another group going - possibly splitting them into two tiers; beginners and intermediates. Its £20 a month, you get a group lesson every 2 weeks plus videos, pdfs and my ears to give some feedback.

If you're interested in joining us, then have a look at the link below or leave a comment with any questions etc..

Hi David, very interested in the guitar teaching. I've been playing for 4 years now - started with the Justin Guitar beginners course, and then did most of the Intermediate course. I think I'm okay, but it would be nice to kick up a level. Currently play at open mic nights, very happy with chords, various strum patterns, some fingerpicking patterns... Very low theory knowledge, and very poor ear (I've learnt everything from books etc). Do you think this would be of benefit to me? Thanks Simon

Hi Simon, Thanks for posting. I think you'd definitely pick up quite a bit of knowledge from the subscribers section - there's lots of videos / PDFs on fingerstyle and strumming methods, I often spend a fair amount of my lessons talking about developing your ears so you can pick things up by listening... so definitely some stuff I can help you with. The theory stuff is mainly to support your learning really its not necessary to know it to have fun playing. Happy to give you a 1-2-1 on Zoom / Skype - its only £30 an hour. My email is info@daviddelarre.co.uk if you want to email me. all the best David
